01Who we are
BoostWeb.co ("BoostWeb", "we", "us") is a digital agency founded by Monish Yadav and based in India. We run the website boostweb.co and build websites, apps, brands and marketing for businesses.
For personal data we collect through this website and for our own business, we are the Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), and the controller for visitors covered by the UK or EU GDPR.
When we handle personal data inside a client's project (for example, the customer list of an online store we manage), we do so on that client's instructions. The client's own privacy policy and our contract with them apply to that data.
02What we collect
Information you give us
- Through the contact form: your name, email address, the service you are interested in, your main market and your message.
- When you email, call or message us on WhatsApp: your contact details and whatever you choose to share.
- When you become a client: business details, billing and tax details (such as a GST number), project content, and any account access you choose to give us (for example to your store, domain or ad accounts).
Information collected automatically
- Usage data through Google Analytics: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (city or country), device type, browser and how you arrived at the site.
- Your IP address, which our server uses for one hour, in a one-way scrambled form, to stop the contact form being flooded with spam.
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
We do not ask for payment card details on this website, and you do not need an account to use it.
03How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange your discovery call.
- To deliver, support and invoice the services you ask for.
- To understand how the website is used and make it better.
- To keep the website and our systems secure and free of spam and abuse.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting duties.
- To send you updates or offers, only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
04Why we are allowed to use it
Under the DPDP Act we process personal data either with your consent (for example, when you send us the contact form) or for a legitimate use the Act allows, such as providing a service you have asked for or meeting a legal obligation. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
If you are in the UK or the EU, our legal bases are your consent, steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you, our legitimate interests (running and protecting our business and website, where those interests are not overridden by yours), and compliance with the law.
05Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
- Hostinger, which hosts this website and its database.
- Google, for Google Analytics and for the fonts used on the site.
- Cloudflare (cdnjs), which delivers some of the code that draws the 3D solar system.
- Banks and payment providers, when you pay us.
- Platforms we use to deliver your project (for example store builders, app stores, ad platforms or design tools), only for your project and only as you instruct.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a buyer or successor if our business is reorganised or sold. In that case this policy will continue to protect your data.
06Transfers outside India
Some of our providers store or process data on servers outside India. Where we transfer personal data abroad we do so as the DPDP Act permits, and we choose providers that protect data to a high standard. For UK and EU visitors, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses where required.
07How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records: for the length of our work together, and afterwards for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require.
- Analytics data: no longer than 14 months.
- Spam-protection data (the scrambled IP address): one hour.
When we no longer need personal data, we delete it or make it anonymous.
08How we protect it
The website runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Enquiries are stored privately in our website's admin area, which only our team can access, and project access you give us is used only for your project. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your data. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
09Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- have it corrected, completed, updated or erased;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- have a grievance about our handling of your data resolved; and
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
If you are in the UK or the EU, you can also object to or restrict our processing, ask for your data in a portable format, and complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
To use any of these rights, email buildbrand@boostweb.co. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days.
10Children
Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
11Cookies and other websites
We use a small number of cookies for analytics. Our Cookie Policy explains which ones and how to turn them off.
Our Work page and other parts of the site link to websites we built or that belong to others. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave boostweb.co.
